Million Meditators is dedicated to peace.
It's built on the understanding that if you pause to meditate or reflect or just be present, for as little as 10 minutes a day, then you'll naturally start to become more peaceful in yourself.
Then, if you share this with others, you start to make your immediate world more peaceful place. Find peace, spread peace. More inner peace, more outer peace. Simple as that.
When you join, we ask no more than an email address, a sign in name and a password. After that, you can let people know as little or as much about you as you like. You can also choose a colour for your Avatar.
Your Avatar then appears in the Million Meditators Universe. It's a virtual you, which represents your commitment to this effort. Other people can see you by your chosen name. Beyond that, how much they see is up to you.

Million Meditators has the support of many of the world's great teachers, such as the Dalai Lama. At least once a month a teacher of note will share their insights and provide tips on how to enhance your practice and be a peaceful influence.
These email bulletins are delivered free to all Million Meditators and back issues are available soon. All we ask in return is that you continue to be peaceful and help spread the peace.

We created this site to start a movement and it depends on word of mouth. As such, we encourage all Million Meditators to send one email to a friend each month encouraging them to join you.
You can do that through this site, on the 'Spread the Peace' page. If you do it this way your link to that person is noted and you are credited with making one 'connection'. After that, if the person you contacted encourages someone else to join, both you and he or she are credited with one 'connection'. After all, you started the chain reaction.
You can see how many connections you are responsible for, and therefore how much peace you have spread, by going to the 'Your Details' page or by looking yourself up in the Million Meditators Universe.
The people who have made the most connections are listed on the 'Top 100 Peacemakers' page. |

Probably the most fascinating part of this
site is the Million Meditators Universe. It allows you to browse the
1572
people who have joined in and see as little or as much information about
them as they are comfortable with.
You can zoom in to a one-on-one level, zoom out to a birds eye view, narrow the
peacemakers by attributes, or simply see your own profile as other see it. |
